Kris diagnosed with concussion, placed on IR

The Penguins confirmed that Kris Letang is diagnosed with a concussion and placed on IR. According to the Pens Report, he was placed on IR retroactive to the date of his injury (Nov.26); a player must remain on IR for seven days, after that period he can removed at anytime. Kris did pass the ImPACT test, but from what I read, the concussion symptoms occured after.

In regards to Kris’ return to the Montreal game follow the hit, Coach Bylsma said, “He went and saw Kris and at that time, Kris didn’t have any issues other than they rearranged his nose. He was fine and ready to go back on the ice. Dr. Mulder went through the series of steps in that to clear him to go back on.” There were no other information regarding Kris’ condition in the Pens Report; the Twitter @PensInsideScoop also confirmed the news.
