Pens beat the Panthers 4-1!
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) – The Pittsburgh Penguins broke out of their slump in a big way.
Evgeni Malkin scored late in the second period and the Penguins beat the Florida Panthers 4-1 Friday night.
Steve Sullivan, Tyler Kennedy, and James Neal also scored as the Penguins snapped a six-game losing streak, their longest since 2006, and got their first multigoal effort in the past six games. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 25 shots.
“It’s a huge relief. It wasn’t fun for anybody,” Fleury said. “It got frustrating, but everybody stuck together. Our last game in Washington (1-0 loss) was a good game for a lot of guys, but we couldn’t win that one.Tonight, again we played well, offensively, defensively, and it paid off.” – Continue Reading
