Pens beat the Canadiens in OT: 7-6; Letang gets 4 assists!
What an insane game! A win is a win, but I was a stressed out Pens fan watching the game lead to that. Wow. Kris had 4 assists and is currently leading in points of defensemen in the league!
I had to make a screenshot because it’s a great accomplishment and he’s in good company!

This game was certainly exciting for the fans, but Letang gave a very candid answer when our own Sam Kasan asked him just what it’s like to play in a game like this – is it fun for the players?
“No, it’s stressful,” Letang responded with a rueful smile on his face. “Honestly, you get the lead and you don’t even know if you’re going to keep it. You’re all over the ice, you’re trying to get back into it. You’re pushing the issue. It goes on and on like that.”
Letang finished with four points (four assists), a new single-game career-high for the Montreal native. But he gave another candid answer when asked about the new personal best.
“It’s always fun, especially in Montreal,” Letang said. “Honestly, I’d rather be plus-2 and contributing (that way). But I will take it. It’s just not a game that is really fun to play defense. But you have to find a way to help your team to win.”
If it’s stressful for the players, just imagine what it’s like for the coaches.
“I don’t want to remember ever being in one like this again,” Bylsma shook his head after the game. “Was more expecting gutting one out 2-1 or 3-2 tonight, not a 7-6 game. I don’t think Michel (Therrien) or I are going to really like a lot on the tape.” >>Continue Reading<<
