Game Recap

As with all injury reports, there is lots of speculation coming from the press and fans (this has been heightened greatly with the popularity of fantasy sports), with that said, I will only repost news reported from Penguins and legit sources (Post-Gazette, TribLive, AP, NHL, etc).

From Winnipeg Sun:

Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Kris Letang is out with a lower-body injury following Sunday’s win over the Boston Bruins.

Letang left the game late in the first period and did not return after what seemed to be an innocent play racing for the puck against Bruins forward Brad Marchand in the Pens zone.

Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma said Letang is undergoing further evaluation.

Letang, who missed three games in early February because of a lower-body injury, leads all defencemen in scoring with three goals and 28 points in 26 games.

Twitter Updates:
@penguins Kris Letang has a lower-body injury and is being further evaluated. #Pens
@MolinariPG Nothing official on Letang, but teammates say he apparently tweaked a leg problem that has been nagging him for a while.
@RobRossi_Trib #TribHKY … My fears on Letang unfounded, teammates say. Not a cut to back of leg. #pens
@JoshYohe_Trib: Letang lower body. Being evaluated. Not believed to be any Achilles type injury.
