From the 3 Impressions recap:
2. Blueline Scoring
The Pens’ defense was their biggest contributor to offense. Trevor Daley tied the game at 3-3 in the third period on a one-timer bomb. Before that Kris Letang scored a goal and set up another for Pittsburgh. Both blueliners’ goals were the result of an aggressive, attack mentality. Daley saw a breach in the Tampa defense on the backside and sneaked into position for the one-timer. Letang carried the puck himself deep into the zone before cutting to the net. The Pens haven’t had much production from their defense, but they were huge tonight.
