Another Penguins game that started out well but got really exciting and ended with another win. The Penguins have been outscoring the opposition to take the lead and win a lot lately. It’s pretty impressive (but I’m very biased). The Senators came to Pittsburgh and left with a big loss, 8-5 ! Kris got a point from an assist on the first period Bryan Rust goal! Rust ended the night with a hat trick!
Snap Shots: Pens 8, Sens 5
*The Pens’ blue line has been an offensive explosion lately. Four defensemen tallied points on Monday night (Letang 1A, Dumoulin 1A, Cole 2A, Schultz 1G-1A). Cole and Schultz both extended their point streaks to 4 games, the duo totaling 13 points (4G-9A) over the span.
*Kessel was on top of his game, tacking on his own 3-point night (1G-2A), to stretch his point streak to 3 games. In that span, Kessel has 3 goals and 3 assists.
