Penguins lost to the Avalanche in overtime, 4-3. Kris Letang received an assist (2) and point (2) on the 1st period Phil Kessel goal. Here’s the game recap !
– There was a lot of special teams action in this game, as the Pens scored two power-play goals of their own. They’ve been strong on the man-advantage to start the season despite being without Sidney Crosby.Phil Kessel has the hottest hand with two of the four. Both of them have been pretty simple – he’s been getting the puck on the left side and has been putting it on net. He’s one of the best snipers in the league, and is so hard to defend in that scenario. Later on, the second unit came up with a huge goal off the stick of Trevor Daley to take a 3-2 lead.
