Kris Letang is the OT hero! Penguins defeat the Islanders 4-3

Kris Letang had another 2 goal game! The 2nd goal, scored with 26 seconds left in overtime won the game. The final score was 4-3 Penguins! Kris Letang was the 1st Star of the game!

“We rely on [Letang] so much and in so many different aspects of the game,” Coach Sullivan said. “He plays the most minutes on our team by nature of being our No. 1 defenseman. … He’s just such an important player for us. He has the ability to be an impact guy.”

Letang Heating Up

“I was working on that to make sure I don’t stickhandle too much,” Letang said. “Try to get the puck quick and shoot it almost as I catch it, I was just working on releases from different areas of the ice that I often get into. So it was just to try to stay sharp and make sure I can have a quick release and the goalie is still moving when I shoot it.”
