Pens shutout the Oilers 2-0; Kris Letang gets his 31st Assist!
The Pens game in Edmonton against the Oilers was an exciting one! Fleury gets his 7th shutout of the season, Geno Malkin returns, and Kris gets his 31st assist of the season on David Perron’s goal in the 2nd. This is a great win after coming off of a 4-0 loss to the Nashville Predators. Kris was the 3rd start of the game, with teammate Marc-Andre Fleury being the 1st star!
Perron doubled the Penguins’ lead with 0.4 seconds left in the period when a rebound bounced off him and into the net as time was expiring. Defenseman Kris Letang took a shot from the point that was kicked away by Fasth but hit Perron’s skate at the side of the net and slid over the goal line. The goal was reviewed and allowed to stand.
“It was a bad bounce it was kind of a knuckle puck it came in and I just tried to get it away. It hit his shin pad and it went in,” Fasth said. “It was a tough bounce.” Source
