Rachel’s Story – March 26, 2011

I got to the mall at around 5:30 for the signing which started at 6.  Luckily, I had bought my ticket the week before in anticipation of the signing, so I knew I had an autograph reserved.  When I got there, the line was really long.  It went all the way back a service hallway and outside, then down the whole side wall of the mall.  I was prepared for a long wait.  I had been to things like this before and I was expecting a long wait.  The people around me, however, were not too pleased.  We waited in line for about an hour and a half (the line moved pretty fast) and then it was time.
The man taking the tickets took mine and then told me to walk up to the table.  I obviously did so with great joy.  When I got there, Kris did the usual “hey, how are you,” I did the usual “Fine, thanks, how are you?”  and of course he returned the favor with a “fine, thanks.”  I handed him my 8×10 to be signed and then I handed him the note from Theresa and told him that it was from my friend that made a fansite about him and that he should check it out.  He recieved it with a thank you and an awkward smile.  Then, we took a picture, a little confusion there as I didn’t know where my mom was standing.  He made a weird noise as I was trying to find her to tell him where to look.  It was pretty funny.  After that, I grabbed my picture and it was all over.  An hour and a half of waiting for 2 minutes.  It was so worth it!
