Kris Letang helped the Penguins solidify the lead and win with his 3rd period empty net goal. He had a terrific game, coming away with 1 goal (1 point), 3 shots, 2 hits, and 4 blocked shots (ouch!) and it goes without saying at this point but Kris did lead both teams in total ice time with 26:32. The Penguins defense was strong this game holding the Rangers to 17 shots, while Henrik Lundqvist faced 31 shots from the Penguins. It was a physical and high energy game and with the Penguins now leading the series 2 – 1, with the deciding game for the series on Thursday, April 21st!.
