Last night at the NHL Awards, Kris Letang won the Masterton Trophy. This award is given to the NHL player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey this season. He was there with family in Nashville to receive the award, here’s what he had to say about the honor:

“It’s special for my family, to be honest,” the 36-year-old defenseman said. “It’s an award that you’re not able to get if you don’t have the people around you, starting with my wife, family, friends, obviously a great group of teammates that I have in Pittsburgh for so many years, coaches, strength coach. “So, it’s a special night for all of them because they all have a little part of this.”
