KrisLetang.org 2013 Season Wrap Up

2012-2013 was an interesting year for KrisLetang.org and one of a few firsts for myself and the fan site.

First, there was the NHL lockout, which put fans, players, and organizations in a predicament that wasn’t desired, with an outcome that took months to work out. The usual updates that follow in September and October were replaced by news reports of the negotiations – the good and the bad of it.  I tried to make the best of it by posting new and old content and upgrading the fan site itself!

January 2013, saw the start of the 2013 ‘shortened’ season; it was back to the grind for the players, organizations, and myself. It was an exciting and fun time for KrisLetang.org, especially on the Facebook page. There was great growth with more “Likes” and fan interaction! That was part of the vision in create KrisLetang.org, to make it a network and place for fans (newly discovered or and current fans) to come together in their support for Kris but also of each other as fellow fans.

What lies ahead will be yet another new experience for KrisLetang.org: trade rumors and contract negotiations. Many fans will be emotional during this time, regardless of the outcome.

I will do my best to report news and media from accredited sources; the integrity of the fan site and my respect for Kris would allow for nothing less. Whatever the result, KrisLetang.org will continue to support Kris throughout his career. I believe that all his fans will too!

I look forward to reporting various summer events, especially the 2013 Luc Bourdon Golf Classic this July; plus there is a lot of media and new content that will debut this summer.

The support from the fans for KrisLetang.org on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr was a positive force during this year and your enthusiasm and loyalty is what keeps it going every day!
